I'm trying to do a first-pass edit my fic, but it's just kind of boring and mediocre and I can't focus on fixing it because I've been so distracted by move preparations. No, that's not entirely true. I can't focus on fixing it because every time I look at it, my eyes start glazing over. If I'm boring the shit out of myself, I can't even imagine what it would do to any of you.

Meh. I guess we'll see how this goes. I'm pretty close to ditching it and starting up something else that's more insubstantial. Bah.

Vidding is hard

I have discovered that even though I have been vidding since, uh, 2007, I only make two vids a year on average, because vidding is a soul-destroying experience meant to test your psychological and physical stamina.*

Which is to say that I have been working on this vid on and off for like two months and I'm not even at the two minute mark yet. And the song is only like 2 min 30 seconds.

I had a breakthrough recently (which got me past the one minute mark), but it's just so exhausting and my wrists hate me.**

You know those days where you're writing something, and then you read something else that's really good, and then you reread what you've been working on, and then you think to yourself, Damn, why do I even bother?

Man, why doesn't heisting play into any of my strengths as a writer, and why does it play into all of my weaknesses?

I suck at action and twisty plots and long things and multiple POVs!

In other news, I have about 4,000 words of Sheppard's 11, and I've only barely scratched the surface of the main plot. Plus, I need to work out lots more plot details, still. Curse you, epic AUs! Curse you!

And no, I probably won't stop whining about this for, well, ever. Sorry.
