Joga.com Companion - a Firefox extension for keeping up with the World Cup, which is (oddly enough) partially developed by Mozilla itself. I'm personally not following the World Cup myself, but I know several people on my flist are, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

kennedykennedy, Tales from the Bully Pulpit - Scans from a comic in which Teddy Roosevelt and the ghost of Thomas Edison travel to the future (2008) to battle a descendent of Hitler. Yeah, it's good crack, yo.
For the nerdier: XAMPP is a really nifty, quick to set up Apache (with MySQL, PHP and Perl) server that you can use to play around with, I don't know, a local install of Wordpress or something. I haven't used it for anything yet, but I can see that it will definitely be cool to use if I want to play around with CMSes.
