I guess I'm posting about once a year now. I wrote some stuff this year, primarily in Star Wars. You can check it all out on AO3 if you care.

I will probably be doing fandomtrumpshate again this year, though I am always terrified about what I will end up writing.

Most excitingly, I have started up a fannish Mastodon (Twitter alternative) instance over at FanGlitch.Space! If you are interested in joining it, feel free to use my invite link if you want to sign up. It's been a lot of learning for me, but it's also been a fun technical challenge. I really want to make a cozy home for fannish folks to hang out and chat about fandom things! And I'm more likely to keep up with it if other folks are also using it. If your instance has my instance on silence you have to approve follow requests even if you don't normally, I think.

My instance had some early misunderstandings on moderation policy that have since been fixed, but not all other instances have yet taken us back off silence or suspend.

Ah, I'm assuming this is mastodonapp.uk, then? I have heard that there's still some concerns about the gender critical contingent, but I will try to do some poking around and verify this is not the case any more, because I know some trans folks on FanGlitch are wary of that.

Yeah, my understanding is that the transphobes have all been kicked off and moderation policy clarified to make it clear that others aren't welcome. If there are outstanding concerns I'd appreciate knowing.

Thank you. Yeah, I can see their point, though I also can't single-handedly fix my country's bigotry, so I guess I'm looking for a new, smaller instance that can keep on top of the subtle moderation as well as the obvious stuff. Thanks! And at least the difference between silence/limit/suspend gives sensible choices here.
