I suck at dialogue, not so much because I can't come up with randomly clever things for characters to say, but because I have a hard time picking up the patterns that characters speak in. That means that I almost never write dialogue in my fics.

Is that something that comes up with other people? Is characterization (charater's doing things in character) or character voice (what characters say) harder for you? Does nobody care?
