1. Fast 6 was awesome. I am tentatively excited for the next one, even though it doesn't have Justin Lin at the helm. And also, I can't wait for someone to give Justin Lin another action movie franchise, because he is awesome at directing it. (For all you nerds out there, he directed the paintball episode of Community. Yes, that paintball episode).
I now kind of want sedoretu fic for this universe full of angst and feelings.
2. Fic editing has kind of stalled. I sent it out to a beta yesterday, but I still want to do some more editing once I get some more distance from it and can look at it without cringing.
3. I have put the source code of the Mafia AU Map up on Github along with some directions on how to reuse the code if interested. I have also made a website for the Github repo using Github pages and Jekyll. Jekyll is actually a pretty cool framework for generating html from simple templates, and it's exactly what I wanted in order to keep myself from copy/pasting a lot of code.

I would believe it. Man, I really need to see more of these movies. Especially 4, since it sounds a lot like 5 and 6? Maybe if I watch the first two I'll be able to care about Brian.

1. Point Break, but with cars! And less surfing! Because surfing isn't as cool anymore! Also, it is all about Brian's angsty feelings about how much he is in love with Dom.
2. I don't remember much of this, but it is more of a buddy-cop movie that introduces Roman and Tez and has awful car chase scenes, which is criminal in this franchise. Brian and Roman are bros!
3. Tokyo Drift has great car chases, but also a lot of characters nobody cares about. But it is also the introduction of Han! Dom has a cameo at the very end. This is the beginning of Justin Lin's reign over the franchise.
4. Hey, let's get the original cast back together! Let's fridge Letty and give Brian and Dom more angsty feelings! Let's have a villain whose plans make no sense whatsoever! More car porn!
Take from that what you will. I think 1 and 4 are generally best for understanding some of the fic in this fandom. It's actually a series that has done a whole lot to reinvent itself over the years, and I would say that 5 and 6 stand apart as ensemble pieces. Most of the other ones have a heavier focus on Brian and Dom.
