Grab bag
One thing that is currently exciting is the Humble Bundle, which is a package of excellent indie games for whatever platforms you wish (Windows, OS X, Linux). You can name your price (!!!), and donate some (or all) of your proceeds to the EFF or to Child's Play. Seriously, this is an excellent, excellent deal. And if you're sick of hearing me talk about how much I love Machinarium, this is a good way of obtaining it without breaking the bank. I am also a big fan of Osmos and Braid, too!
OMG, THE DELICIOUS THING IS TOO TRAUMATIZING FOR ME TO HANDLE. HOW WILL I FIND FIC IN NEW FANDOMS, YOU GUYS? NOT EVERYONE CROSSPOSTS TO THE AO3. I AM HALF-TEMPTED TO WRITE IMPORT CODE MYSELF, AND THAT IS JUST NOT A GOOD IDEA. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A FUNCTIONING COPY OF THE CODEBASE.
I think all of the shitty things that were troubling me this weekend are slowly but surely beginning to resolve themselves and/or once again approach equilibrium. This is good. However, I have now reached a state of uncertain paranoia about everything that is possibly healthy and possibly not.
The new Kudos function on AO3 is nifty. It makes me smile. :)
