i need to learn how to plot things

Is my angstfic "cute"? Did I miss a memo or something? The "How Not To Make Angst Cute" page of the Fanfic Writer's Handbook? I've gotten it a few times, and now I'm all confuzzled.

Ack. Need to schedule interview with MIT person.
