While I think you may have a point there, sir or madam, about the entertainment value of an unexamined presentation of "genius," I think that you have been extremely rude here and that you are hiding from the consequences of your off-putting actions behind anonymity.
Fantasy and sci-fi are definitely "the place for ordinary" as well as extraordinary people. The point I would stress here is *people.* Marvel Comics have Tony Stark, and his massive resources and genius, but they also have Peter Parker, whose genius for science was both limited and channeled by his needs to make ends meet and support his remaining family.
